Restaurant Style Tomato Soup

Preparations :
  1. In a big vessel add 5 cups of water and boil. Add washed tomatoes and cook till it leaves its skin. This will take approximately 20 minutes. Turn off the Flame.
  2. Take tomatoes from the hot water let it cool for few minutes and peel off the skin. Chop into small pieces. In a blender add tomato pieces and blend to make a fine puree. There should not be any remaining of pieces.
  3. Heat a skillet in a medium flame add butter, bay leaf, chopped garlic and chopped onion. Saute and fry till golden brown.
  4. Add tomato puree and one cup water and mix well. Take one boil and add salt and pepper powder.
  5. Meanwhile in a bowl add corn flour and 3 tbsp water. Make a fine paste and keep aside.
  6. Add water further if you feel it is thick. Take second boil and mix corn flour batter slowly and keep stirring until it gets mix well.
  7. Add cream and saute for few more seconds. Add sugar as well and take third boil and turn off the flame.
  8. Take the slices of bread and cut into small cubical shape. Heat a pan in a low flame and add ghee. Roast the bread pieces in it. Make it crisp and golden.
  9. Serve the soup hot with the toppings of fried bread pieces.
