Onion Pakoda / Neerulli Baje Recipe

Coriander Powder
धनिया पाउडर
2 T Spoon
Gram Flour
बेसन
1/2 Cup
Salt
नमक
To taste
Oil
तेल
For deep frying


Preparation:


  1. In a Bowl add sliced onion, Chopped green chillies, Coriander powder, gram flour and salt. Mix well to form a thick batter. (Do not add water since salt leaves water content)
  2. Heat oil in a kadai in a medium flame. 
  3. Test the heat of the oil by dropping a small drop of batter into it. If it comes up immediately your oil is hot enough to fry the pakodas.
  4. You can either leave the batter by forming round shape or you can use one table spoon to make pakodas.
  5. Flip them to fry other side of the pakoda. When it is crisp and golden brown remove and drain.
  6. Garnish with fried curry leaves.
  7. Serve hot with chutney's of your like or tomato ketchup.
