Naan without Tandoor

Ingredients :

Whole wheat Flour
गेहूं का आटा
1 Cup
All purpose Flour / Maida
सभी उद्देश्य आटा / मेडा
1/2 Cup
Baking Soda
बेकिंग सोडा
1/4 tbsp
Milk
दूध
2 tbsp
Yogurt
दही
2 tbsp
Sugar
चीनी
1 tbsp
Oil
तेल
2 tbsp
Salt
नमक
To taste
Sesame Seeds
तिल के बीज
2 tbsp
Coriander Leaves Chopped
कटा हुआ हरा धनिया
2 tbsp
Ghee
घी
For Greasing
Water
पानी
1/4 cup or as required


Preparation :
  1. In a wide bowl add salt, sugar, milk, yogurt and baking soda and mix well.
  2. To the above mixture add wheat flour and all purpose flour, By using water prepare the dough.
  3. Knead well till all its stickiness goes and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle oil above the dough and knead again for few minutes.
  5. Cover the dough with wet cloth for 2 hours.
  6. Make a big lemon size ball of the dough and start rolling.
  7. When you make a small circle sprinkle few sesame seeds and coriander leaves and roll again.
  8. The size should be approximately 4-5 inches round circle.
  9. Heat a tava or griddle and grease it with ghee. Place the naan in a medium flame and cook both the sides of naan till they get browned and slightly charred.
  10. Remove the naan and apply some butter/ghee or oil and serve hot.
